James Rosenquist, RIP

James Rosenquist, one of the last major figures from the Pop era, has passed away.  I saw an interesting exhibit of his massive works on paper, which was quite nice.  Also in 2003 or so, I saw the Rosenquist retrospective at the Guggenheim.

That Rosenquist F-111 has been somehow a comforting or maybe reliable fixture
for me at our local mall since my days in high school. I don't go to the mall very often,
but I've often stopped, over the decades, and looked at this work when there. Full life!
