Don't know if this is the right place to write this but why are what I would call name brand jazz icons like George Benson doing gigs that are far away from population center.   Benson is playing tonight at the Gallo Center For The Arts, Modesto, CA.  That's 83 miles one way from Oakland/San Francisco. I don't get it.
