mjzee Posted May 2, 2018 Report Posted May 2, 2018 Just noticed this apparently-legit label available through Amazon downloads: "CM Blue Note." Some interesting titles there, including the two "Best From The West" compilations. Prices seem a little high on some titles. Also, there are other titles besides what I found on this search, for example: McCoy Tyner - Cosmos. Quote
Scott Dolan Posted May 2, 2018 Report Posted May 2, 2018 Those prices are actually right in line with market value. The McCoy Tyner album is $.50 cheaper there than it is on iTunes, for example. Quote
Kevin Bresnahan Posted May 2, 2018 Report Posted May 2, 2018 They have the rare Hank Mobley Quartet date here: https://www.amazon.com/Hank-Mobley-Quartet/dp/B00W6IQ5GW/ref=sr_1_25?s=dmusic&ie=UTF8&qid=1525283625&sr=1-25&keywords=CM+BLUE+NOTE&refinements=p_n_feature_browse-bin%3A625150011 It's missing the 2 alternate takes found on both US CD issues (Mosaic box & BN CD). Why? Wait - Donald Byrd's "Byrd In Flight" is missing 3 additional tracks found on the CD release. Why are they doing this? Quote
Scott Dolan Posted May 2, 2018 Report Posted May 2, 2018 Same for the Hank Mobley Quartet album on iTunes. I wonder if there is some kind of exclusive physical release license for the bonus tracks. ? Quote
