Some sites say that Dick Clark worked as an announcer on the show, reading the ad copy for when Tootsie Roll was the sponsor. This I cannot confirm. But if true, that might explain a lot of things, Dick Clark coming out of Paul Whiteman's TV Teen Club. Quote
