I don't really collect them but have a few. I nice print of Mile's Apple ad, a huge (used in subways) Miles Kind of Blue poster and a RVG poster signed by the master himself!

I've got a few of the repros that are selling on Ebay (Basie, Ellington) but no antique/actual jazz posters - I'm too young and too broke! I do have some rock/alternative posters from bands I've seen in the past 15-20 years (Thrill Kill Kult, MXPX, Republica, Gigolo Aunts, SnoCore, WARPED tour, etc)

I have too many jazz posters. Or too few walls. Not all are from shows...some of them include a Herbie Hancock and Freddie Hubbard at Hill Auditiorium, 1971 ish. I also have a Herbie poster from a Michigan show in 1973 w/ his Warner Bros. band, an Art Farmer poster, Donald byrd playing trumpet on a bus (W. Claxton), about 6 Miles posters, a Trane one, a Telluride Jazz Festival '93 signed by Cedar Walton, Billy Higgins Harold Land, James Moody, Mulgrew Miller, Brian Lynch, Steve Kuhn, et al. Too bad the print is done in pastels, but WTF. An a huge Bix print that I got at a thrift store. Somehow, I've only had one sarcastic remark about them from a very sarcastic friend. I tell myself it's not excessive. :D

Anyone here collect posters from jazz shows? If so, what gems to you have?

I do have a nice hand bill from a show at Slugs in NY. It could be from around 66 or so. Also on the bill is the Larry Young Quartet, Albert Ayler Quintet, the Jazz Communicators w/Freddie Hubbard, Joe Henderson and Louis Hayes, The Sonny Red Quintet, Bobby Timmons/Tommy Turrentine and SunRa. It bright red and very cool! I have a nice scan of it and have a copy hanging up in my music room and my office!
