Ken Dryden Posted June 6 Report Posted June 6 My wife and I are presenting Alan Broadbent in an evening of solo piano on September 11th, at 7:30 pm, in Roland Hayes Concert Hall at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. All ticket proceeds will benefit WUTC-FM NPR 88.1, where I've spent many years. I don't know who on the board, other than HutchFan, lives within a reasonable driving distance of Chattanooga, but please share this information with anyone whom you might think would enjoy it who lives in the general area. I know HutchFan is planning on attending. https://www.utc.edu/arts-and-sciences/fine-arts-center Quote

Ken Dryden Posted September 7 Author Report Posted September 7 We are just four days away from Alan Broadbent’s concert in Chattanooga on 9-11. He is also speaking at a seminar for UTC students the next day, where I will interview him. Quote
Ken Dryden Posted Friday at 03:35 AM Author Report Posted Friday at 03:35 AM A great time was had by everyone who attended tonight's solo piano concert. Alan Broadbent played a number of standards, harmonically rich interpretations of "Blue in Green" and "Reflections in D," plus several new originals. I think that he enjoyed his time here. Quote
Dan Gould Posted Friday at 08:36 AM Report Posted Friday at 08:36 AM I hope attendance was strong, Ken. Quote
HutchFan Posted Friday at 02:22 PM Report Posted Friday at 02:22 PM It was a WONDERFUL show. So glad I went. Quote
Ken Dryden Posted Saturday at 01:08 AM Author Report Posted Saturday at 01:08 AM Great seats, too, HutchFan was seated next to my wife, third row center. Alan had a great time and also was special guest at a music seminar in the same hall this morning. He was gracious and fun to talk with over a couple of meals. Don't miss an opportunity to see him play if he visits your city! Quote
