Ordered on Sunday, delivered on Tuesday! it was on my doorstep when I returned home.
Compared only two tracks, but the sound on the box set seems to be a bit more detailed and have more space between the horns. But I will keep at least some of the CDs -those with the first three sessions into recording order.

Great bass player with abig, warm sound, not just with Brubeck. I have several Cal Tjader albums with him, like this:
Duncan Reid gave me a copy of the CD Wright had signed for him ....

My last three Mosaic sets: Young/Basie, Savory, and, tonight, Mobley.

Excellent! One of three fantastic Haydn discs I purchased this year (the others by Pierre Gallon and Rebecca Maurer). Like Gallon, Corti makes the Italian influence audible.

The last batch a few days ago, on New Years's eve, was this:

I always play the Royal Fireworks music at midnight on this day:

I enjoyed it so much how he approached Monk's music on this phenomenal recording - not many pianists can do it this unselfish way.

COVID-19 changed things, working from home over the last 10 months made me enjoy having some vine (after work) more often with my family (which means sharing a bottle=having a glass)🍷😎🍷 ....

You are drinking a bit much, although your tastes are impeccable ..... just want to have you here as long as possible, that is. I just had the last glass of the Barolo I opened last weekend on the 25th. It was delicious, but needs to breathe for at least an hour to develop his full bouquet.

But want is ok, as far as it goes.
You can't always get what you want, and sometimes you shouldn't.

The day over:
The Pepper is a 1986 Japan CD, which sounds great. I wish all Blue Notes were recorded that way ....
