Soundwise the MPS recordings are the best IMO. Most "jazzy" trio is however for me ---> Peterson - Brown - Ellis and the earlier versions with Barney Kessell at JATP. ;-]] The late Bob Florence had a good cooperation with the german radio "Hessischer Rundfunk" in Frankfurt. Many years ago I did record some studio broadcast with Bob & some HR bigband recordings. I was in touch with Bob via email and had tried to get him a gig at the WDR . But the "big heads" there were not interested at that time. Really a loss which cannot be repaired.

Agreed. The Bill Evans tune with the flute arrangement is really something in a big band
