Mike, Thanks for this - I think every track was at least enjoyable. More than made up for the weird stress that seemed to be present by being involved. As a bonus there are a few things to go look for. I shall even let the slap of "I was surprised that a Canadian board member knew Dell!" go without comment! Michael

This is a most enjoyable experience - MJQ's Pyramid was one of my first jazz LPs (in 1966 I think) and I have had an affection for vibes ever since. 7. Sounds like it could be Christopher Dell. I chanced upon him at emusic under the name Christopher Drell DRA. I like this very much but have no idea what the tune is.

Number 2 is Four and Three from New Ideas - Don Ellis Quintet (Al Francis vibes, Ron Carter - bass, Jaki Byard - piano, Charli Persip - drums.) I always forget how much I like Don Ellis' stuff and this has reminded me again.

  9. I had almost given up railing against this one. You give an old man hope. (and Hope is none too pleased)
  10. What Are You Watching

Absolutely agree Patricia. Ken Finkleman is a national treasure (Airplane II, Grease 2, Good God and a Fellini obsession notwithstanding!) Did you see his Good Dog - same character different environment? Different but I really really liked it. Then Good God - so over the top and (sadly, considering the topic) stunningly obvious. Shockingly awful.
