JSngry
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Tex Big Tex turned 60 this year. With The State Fair Of Texas having an estimated annual attendance of about 2,500,000 - 3,000,000 people, that's a lot of times for a lot of generations to get to know Big Tex. Parents would tell their kids if you get lost from us, go to Big Tex. And then those kids would tell their kids that, and now their kids are telling their kids that. I know a lot of my fellow Texans who don't like a lot of things about Texas, but nobody who went to The Fair didn't dig Big Tex. Hew was there for you, always, and he was just goofy-loveable. Big Tex never hurt anybody nor did he ever piss anybody off. Big Tex transcended ethnicity, income, age. everything. Big Tex was cool, and he will return. #BigTex is trending worldwide -- just behind #Romnesia, ahead of the Tampa Bay Times, which endorsed Obama. JSngry
They will rebuild him. It's been promised. And I myself have not been to The Fair for about 20 years or so, but I think I will go next year, just to give a Howdy back to Big Tex. It's only right.
