mikeweil
Thanks - very much appreciated. This probably will answer my questions re the Shacklett session. As far as the "Tracks" album is concerned, I found trumpeter Peitrangelo's e-mail but it is no longer valid. I will try the guitarist's adress next .... Two other rare Rhyne participations are on their way to me: An all-star affair by Uncle Funkenstein and a CD by Japanese guitarist Yoshitaka Kanno: With these, my Melvin Rhyne discography may be complete. Dan Gould
This Johnny Shacklett thing is really something. Glad Mike piqued my curiosity - got a sealed copy that hadn' warped in 50 years time. I have to say though I don't think its live. No stage announcements and no applause. Just a lot of very strong guitar work with a solid drummer and some nice solo turns for Mel Rhyne. mikeweil
Does the liner say anything about that guitar? He sounds like Wes on a Stratocaster ...
