Word from his half-sister is Buddy Deppenschmidt has passed away. Appeared a number of Charlie Byrd records, including "Desafinado".

R.I.P.

IIRC it was him and bassist Keeter Betts turning Charlie Byrd to playing Brazilian music. A real pioneer in that respect.
