well, people ask me how I ever played that solo on Koko - I tell 'em, lots of heroin and a good rhythm section -
-
who's getting the geld? United Jewish Appeal? NOHARMM?
-
even worse, he can only have sex standing up - or with horses -
-
well in that case I'm going to start lip-synching Charlie Parker solos -
-
I heard they're putting out the Best of Leslie West - making a Lonehill out of a Mountain.
-
I actually heard that Dylan had himself un-circumsized, but they goofed up the operation, and now whenever he pees it comes out his left ear -
-
your case needs a rest.
(sorry, couldn't resist that old Steve Allen line)
actually, I agree with you -

I still think the new stereos (well, I only have Revolver) are missing mids -
-
Dinah - as I recall - maybe 3 Little Words?
-
go to Stereo Jack's in Cambridge, Massachusetts -

got ya - I've always had problems with the Sumerian language - ever since I translated all those Dead Sea Scrolls into Pig Latin -
-
wait, that makes no sense - if you are only listening to discs 5 and 6 than it's the partial HRS sessions -
to listen to the complete you would need multiple cd players -
am I the only guy around here who's paying attention? This has happened before -

I didn't know that Tom Hayden composed -

I actually don't know; the problem with that album for me is that it comes off as all soft focus -
-
well, as Ralph Cramden said to Alice, "I'm the King and you're nothing" -
and she said "so you're the King of Nothing."
-
ahhh, I think they went soft on Abbey Road - too pretty, never could listen to that one - the White Album was always, to me, their pinnacle -

If he's nuts, sooner or later he'll find his way into the political forum....so keep your eyes peeled!!!
I have never been in a half-way house - they don't have any for Nigerian royalty like me -
though I have thought of starting a half-way house orchestra -
-
I like Jo Stafford a lot and included her version of Baby Won't You Please Come Home (with the Metronome All Stars) on my blues set - (is there anything that's NOT on there?)

I can't follow all these copy and paste arguments.

well, I've had my problems, but since I stopped taking the the meth amphetamines and carrying a glock, everyone seems to be showing up to rehearsals.
(gonna have to ask Kleck about this)

minds (it's a gift I have) -

well, here it is, the end of the summer, and not only have I found a good and reliable (and young) bassist but I rehearsed today with a drummer, too - and I am flabbergasted. The kid can't be more than 20 and he's one of the best drummers I have ever heard. And I now have an actual band, something I have not had in 15 years.
I TAKE IT ALL BACK! I LOVE ALL YOU KIDS OUT THERE!
this is scary. Something will go wrong soon.

just a sonic observation - been playing Revolver, the stereo version, on my system - seems to be lacking in mid-range (between 500-600 hz) - anybody else notice this?
Best big-band recording as a recording

Webster Hall was the preferred locale for jazz in NYC, and there are many many sessions made there - and I could be wrong, but didn't Ray Hall do stuff for Riverside?
