Growing up, I guess. Well, I certainly wasn't old enough to go to Ireland in '53 to hear Stan Kenton (Musicians' Union here wouldn't let him in) as others did. Seriously, what a band he had at the time. And I wasn't aware of Charlie Parker's passing when I was 15.

As I bought it as a 10" LP in 1958 I don't think I can be accused of being late to the party.
