  14. I can't really add anything to everyone else's contributions. Just about all of the Kessel Contemporarys are worth checking out, but it's the first three Poll Winners albums that I keep returning to.

The big difference between this series and the brown cover series is that these were basically "best of" compilations of mostly available material aimed at the newbie, while the brown cover series consisted of unreleased sessions or newly compiled rare material, aimed at the more experienced jazz fan.

  20. Several years ago I picked up the Jutta Hipp 10" (Blue Note 5056) issued by Toshiba. The sound is shit - very distorted. Nice job on the cover, though.
