  21. I like Boyle. Drop City is one of my favorite novels, BUT I didn't like The Women. Just didn't work for me. Was it the period aspect that you didn't like? Perhaps you prefer the Boyle that writes about more contemporary matters...which, of course, he does brilliantly e.g. 'Tortilla Curtain' and 'Talk Talk'
