  1. All that's in there is some ChristianSingles chic that wants to meet me!
  2. 'Lennie McBrowne & the 4 Souls' JPN vinyl on eBay for $25 BIN. I don't know the seller, but: 1. He sells Boy Scouts stuff, so he must be trustworthy; 2. I do have the same LP and it's excellent; 3. It doesn't show up that often; 4. Tom @ Blue Note isn't gonna bust his pick on the PJ rock 'cause no one buys it (old post we stumbled upon today)...so it won't be available on cd anytime soon. ** Does Sangry still have any of that Christmas fruitcake? I'm hungry.
  3. Oh complain, complain!!! ....at least you can buy Tucher mini-kegs!! They won't ship me one 'cause I live here!! Seriously......I placed an order for one of your UK neighbors and can try to get you an Evans box if you would like. Send a PM. Are you still living at 10 JRVG Lane?
  4. That'll teach you to sit around at night watching Mayberry R.F.D. re-runs instead of monitoring the board!!!!!!!
  5. You're right! The one we're thinking of is the 'Berliner Kindl' brand!
  6. The sour taste comes from the carbonic acid - part of every beer, but more prominent, somehow, in weizen. Oh stop it!!!!!! Your attempts at flattery are embarassing me!! Save it for the political forum!
  7. Looks like they've upgraded the Berliner Weisse packaging a bit from the standard short brown bottles? I was first introduced to it in Berlin in 1981.....very refreshing indeed! Don't like the 'green' though...and don't know what other food product has the 'woodruff' taste over here? That Weisse is excellent to drink without any syrup but it's ungoldly expensive over here -- usually $15 and up for a 6-pack.
  8. Well, yeah.....'cause the kids can use that small sewin' machine I done bought them in Dec. to make mittens and ear muffs for wintertime 'cause I already used up the 2006 clothing fund on Poll Winners & Hamp Hawes K2s and some beer. Them kids need to learn might right quick that they can't always depend on Daddy for a handout.
  9. or.... 3. Keith Richards falls out of another palm tree.
  10. All day, babe. The only time I'm out of earshot is when I step out to try and bean the squirrel that keeps chewing up the thistle feeder and pissing off the goldfinches!! I can iron 5 shirts per LP side too! Recently discovered that if you flip it to the horizontal position, you can whiz through 8 a side!!
  11. We always leave a note on a napkin stating "free for starving children". Shame on you for enticing starving kids into smoke-filled, alcohol drenched dens in search of food!
  12. What? The New Yorker lied? See, I start subscribing to C. Albertson's favorite mag and immediately get burned!
  13. Guess someone didn't get the waste not/want not "there are starving kids in East Pakistan" lecture as a kid?
  14. Yep, so they say. "The most popular album of all time is the Eagles' "Greatest Hits, 1971-1975," which has sold about twenty-nine million copies in the United States since it's release, in 1976. The No. 2 album is Jackson's "Thriller," which has sold twenty-seven million copies since 1982. Next on the list are albums by Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, and Billy Joel."
  15. Flipped though one of the July issues of the New Yorker today and the #1 all time selling Rock/Pop album is ___________________________. Don't Google.......don't grab the New Yorker and peek.........just take a stab at it.
  16. That's correct.....it would typically be paired (here) with a 'Kristall' rather than a Hefe. I've seen a few do that over there as well in the Black Forest. Hey, a lemon slice is one thing....but blending a Weizen with coca-cola? Now that, I just can't fathom!! There outta be a law!
  17. Bartenders are doing that in Michigan? With what beers? everything? That's not a good thing. Periodically (5% of the time) I'll do the lime wedge in the Pacifico cerveza thing as well as a lemon wedge in a hefe-weizen. I have to admit, the mexican beers are pretty good on the golf course.....I usually squeeze 3 Modelo bottles (short & stout shape takes up less space) and 6 Bitburger pint cans into the cooler bag for a round on a hot day. Hmmm, now why did I hook that 5-iron into the parking lot on the last hole a few weeks ago and drill that Lexus smack dab in the ctr of the hood?? I'm with ya on the fruity flavored beer....
  18. One thing's for sure -- the last thing on that guy's mind is a whoppin' cd sale over at Concord!!
  19. What do you think will happen first? 1. I find that cd.... 2. All the top Champagne houses in France switch to screw tops.
  20. So now that the mad rush is (or close to...) over, when does the real fun start with open speculation about order fill rates and % of jewel boxes that'll get trashed? For $3 a disc, I can't imagine that they'll be using white gloves and laying down lush carpets of bubble wrap while processing these cartons that'll be shipped free of charge. I'll start: 80% total fill rate 15.5% cracked cases
  21. Good luck with that one! (we'll save you a place in the dog house, too. just don't forget to bring the beer!) She said 'at that price' I should go back for another round -- and who am I not to follow orders? Scout's honor! All she gets is 2 more Creedence discs out of the deal. We have room for you on the basement sofabed if you get bounced out!
  22. Looking to buy a copy of 'West Coast Live, Vol. 2' Pacific Jazz (TOCJ-6092) in excellent condition. Please PM if you happen to have one for sale or know where I might find a copy online. Thanks.
  23. Same here... ..............well, on 4 of the 5 orders anyway.
