  1. I received my first batch of these today and I'm listening to Jack Wilkins' Windows as I type. Sounds great.
  2. Here is the link to the Universal Japan page for this series: http://www.universal-music.co.jp/compilation/extravaganza/
  3. The Complete Clef/Mercury Rec. Of Oscar Peterson Trio is now gone. I'm disappointed as I was going to order this today.
  4. The details for this set are up on the Mosaic site but you have to click Recent Releases at the top of the home page and it's at the bottom of the 2nd page. http://www.mosaicrecords.com/prodinfo.asp?number=263-MD-CD
  5. 100 more Jazz resissues forthcoming from Sony Japan in October and November. All three Dave Bailey albums. http://www.sonymusicshop.jp/m/sear/groupLis.php?site=S&ima=1232&page=0&rw=50&cd=M002035
  6. New Xanadu reissue series by Elemental Music. The link does not provide a date but according to Amazon.ca the first batch will be released June 30th. http://www.elemental-music.com/releases/xanadu-master-edition-series/
  7. Warner Japan is reissuing Count Basie's Roulette albums on August 5. http://wmg.jp/special/countbasie/index.html
  8. I had that thought too. But then that leaves a title like The Song of Singing in question. Was it ever an RVG or 24bit TOCJ? 1998 BN Works (TOCJ-4353) and 2004 (24bit ?). Song of Signing was reissued as a Japanese mini-LP RVG. I think it was 2003 / early 2004 as that was when the mini-LP reissue program ended.
  9. Universal Japan has set up a page for these releases but no remastering credits from what I can see. http://www.universal-music.co.jp/jazz/blue-note-the-finest1100
  10. There are several titles in the Concord holdings that never came out as OJC's and of these I think Sonny Simmons Rumasuma is worthy of reissue. The Gary Bartz NTU Troop - Home! album would be good too.
  11. Schizophrenia and Moon Rappin' were both released as Mini-LP RVG's in Japan back in 2003.
  12. HMV Japan has listed approx. 100 new Blue Notes with the UCCQ catalog # to be issued early June and early July but none of them are SHM reissues as they are all at a lower price point and there is no mention of SHM in the listings (it's the same at Amazon Japan so I'm afraid the party is over.) http://www.hmv.co.jp/en/search/advanced_1/barcodecatnum_uccq/category_1%2C2%2C3%2C4%2C5%2C7%2C9%2C10%2C23%2C24%2C50/formattype_1/sort_datedesc/target_BARCODECATNUM/
  13. Here is the East Wind reissue site from Universal Japan: http://www.universal-music.co.jp/jazz/eastwind1000/
  14. It would be nice if Solid, the Japanese label that recently reissued the Bethlehem catalog, did the same for Xanadu.
  15. Jazz Record Center has been an Ebay seller for years without offering Paypal because they don't have to. From Ebay's site: To make sure buyers on eBay have safe, convenient, online payment options, sellers are required to offer at least one of these payment methods: PayPal, credit card processing through an Internet merchant account, or ProPay.

http://www.mps-music.com/releases/ I picked up three albums from this series from Amazon UK: Monty Alexander's Rass, Ira Kris's Jazzanova and Michael Naura's Call. Really good sound. The CD's come with a slip cover over the jewel case but the booklet cover contains the original album artwork. Well done reissues IMO. Is this a first time on CD for the Alexander and Naura albums?
  17. Hey Jonathan, I can advise that Amazon Canada does not have a listing for the Tapscott but they did sell your previous releases.
  18. Elvin Jones is sold. Thanks everybody.
  19. I lowered the price on the Lester Young. $150 was way too much for four cd's. My bad.
  20. Hello once again, I am selling the Lester Young and Columbia Small Group Swing Sessions box sets. All CD's are in mint condition as is the packaging. The Lester Young has the book printing error where some pages are repeated and / or out of sequence. Lester Young is #179. Small Group Swing Sessions is #2830 $150USD for the Columbia Swing Group Sessions and $120USD for Lester Young plus shipping from Toronto. Thanks, Doug
  21. Considering the great response that Hank got for his OOP Mosaic sets did I overprice the Elvin Jones set? Or is it just that everyone that wants it has it? I'm curious to know. If so, I'll just move it to Ebay.
  22. To anyone interested I'm very open to your best fair offer as long as it doesn't involve a trade that includes a yak or a skateboard with no wheels.
  23. Hey Organissimo Friends, I am selling the Elvin Jones Mosaic Box. All cd's are in mint condition. US$175 plus shipping. I'm located in Toronto. Thanks, Doug
  24. Two more batches coming soon (Sept 24 and Oct 22): http://www.sonymusicshop.jp/m/sear/groupShw.php?site=S&ima=3642&cd=M002035
