  1. Schubert - Piano Sonata D.568 Mozart - Symphony No.40
  2. I originally had the Bert material on a couple of Savoy LPs back when they were first issued in the 50's. My strong interest in tenor player J.R. Monterose was a motivating factor. Always enjoyed them. I was especially pleased when Fresh Sound reissued the Savoy Bert material on CD a few years ago.
  3. This CD title is quite misleading. The title suggests that Griff and Bags play together throughout the disc. In fact that is not the case at all. On the first 6 tracks neither Griffin or Bags appear. Milt Jackson does play on tracks 7-11 but without Griffin. Tracks tracks 12 -16 do have Johnny Griffin but no Bags. The first 6 tracks are just ok. The remaining tracks are better, but not outstanding.
  4. Haydn String Quartet Op.54/1 -Tatrai Quartet Mozart Piano Concerto No.21
