  1. The Modern Jazz Quartet recorded with Laurindo Almedia in New York in 1964. So this BBC date looks like a previously unissued recording.
  2. Claude Williamson became a favorite in Japan. He made a lengthy list of recordings for Venus and other labels.
  3. Haydn - H. 20 & H. 29 Mendelssohn - Op.13
  4. Spohr - String Quartet No.28, Op.84/2 Frank - Cello Sonata (transcription of Violin Sonata) - Maisky & Argerich
  5. Haydn - String Quartet Op.76/6 Brahms - String Quintet No.2, Op.111
  6. Beethoven - Piano Quartet WoO36 and Clarinet Trio Op.11
  7. Sorry to hear this sad news. I always enjoyed his playing, especially on baritone sax. In his final years he seems top play the tenor far more often, though my preference was to hear him on baritone .
  8. Spohr - String Quartet No.27, Op.84/1 Scharwenka - Piano Trio No.2, Op.45
