  1. Thanks for making your discographical work available on this board, Mike!
  2. Yessss, with some really outstanding versions, such as Beatles' 'And Your Bird Can Sing' and Stone Poneys' 'Different Drum'. Susanna Hoffs has not been very prolific outside of the Bangles, and her discs are not masterworks by any means, but her voice always stands out above any average song and lucklustre productions ('When You're A Boy', 1991). For an apetizer, check 'One Day' from 'Someday' LP (2012) or 'All I've Got To Do' from 'From Me To You' EP.
  3. Everytime there is a hot discussion on Bill Evans or Oscar Peterson in this board, it prompts me to revisit some of their recordings. So, keep up the good work, BE & OP bashers!
  4. More from the same group: first demos:
  5. Spanish punk from the 80s: Desechables - Amor Pirata (Grabaciones Interferencias, 1988)
  6. This is John E. Hasse’s take. Published in the Wall Street Journal. https://www.wsj.com/articles/crazy-blues-transformed-american-music-11597174053?st=ijcs0l1aj9ow6s0 EDIT: sorry, mjzee, I missed your post.
  7. Thanks, Brad. Hadju’s article is a good read. However, he does not touch upon the topic of who is the pianist on that session (whether Bradford or Willie the Lion Smith). After 100 years, it is still uncertain.
