  1. Kudos to that! 👌
  2. Watching Peaky Blinders first season with my youngest son. Yes, I am very late... so what?
  3. Jokes aside, it is not highly regarded by Ben’s biographer, Frank Büchman-Møller. Neither is Tete Montoliu’s comping. However (being a Tete Montoliu nut, a Ben Webster nut and a Don Byas nut), it is highly enjoyable for me! 😇
  4. It's Paco! His fifth album (1974) as a leader soloist, and it's a milestone in his career and in the history of flamenco guitar. Issued by Island in the UK and USA the following year, as simple as "Paco". The technical skills shown in this album had not been achieved by any flamenco guitarist before and, honestly, I think it is still unsurpassed. Moreover, it includes "Entre Dos Aguas", a semi-improvised rumba which is one of my favourite guitar pieces. Period.
  5. Some still say "electric bass and guitar, keyboards, drums... in a flamenco disc?". Yesssir!!! Now revisiting the discography of our best group merging flamenco and progressive rock. A classic:
  6. Landmark recording in the development of modern flamenco. Reviled by purists. A masterwork, IMHO.
  7. Same here. Also happens with Dexter Gordon.
  8. Thanks for the rec! I haven't purchased the FSR release (yet), but I am currently listening to the IAJRC LP on Spotify, including the same Black & White 1946-49 recordings. The live recordings from Casino Gardens (1946) on disc 2 of the FSR release are not included.
  9. The list in the first post is missing a couple of discs: FSRV_126 Sheila Guyse & Joya Sherrill - This is Sheila + Sugar & Spice FSRV_127 Cora Lee Day & Debby Moore - My Crying Hour + My Kind of blues So, recommendations? Joya!!!
