  1. Oh, hell, yes! Glad you like! If you want to hear it, I posted a needledrop of it on my blog (link in my signature).....
  2. Lee Allen "Walkin' With Mr. Lee"
  3. Love that cover! Me too--I think the 10" covers are often underrated. Very true! http://www.birkajazz.com/archive/blueNote10inch.htm cool--thanks for the heads up on that. check this out: http://amodernist.blogspot.com/2011/09/john-hermansader-for-blue-note-records.html

  5. That could definitely be it. I will look it up later to confirm or deny. I looked it up online and it's great stuff, but that's not it. There is piano on it too...hmmmmm..... Definitely something similar though. Prestige really was trying to confuse us!
  6. I've read a lot of similar stuff--particularly that those later pressings are noisy. The couple I've heard sounded quite good.
  7. So is there a weird bootleg version of this box, or are they all legit?
  8. That could definitely be it. I will look it up later to confirm or deny.
  9. Maybe you all can help with this mystery: Prestige 7318 blue label--PRLP 7318 (AorB respectively) and Van Gelder in wax on both sides....but....side B is a different record! It's instrumental blues--a jump blues/jazz guitarist and tenor player along with a trombone and bass/drums. I guess it's a weird pressing error. Thoughts?
  10. Below is a list of LP's I've set aside for sale. I'm new to this forum, but sell on ebay with the ID "duckbass" Shipping for a single LP in the USA media mail is $4. 11. Riverside mono (blue label/deepgroove/"reels")
  12. Sure, all of thia music is very available, but isn't $53 shipped for 20 albums a great deal? The mini LP sleeves seem like a nice touch.
  13. A Sesac with Chico and Dolphy? Very cool--sadly, that wasn't in group I found.
  14. No cred loss to me--I love bachelor pad/space pop/exotica. This summer I found a bunch of SESAC 7" EPs--I guess they were bumper and background music for radio stations. It was all over the place from easy listening to "College Gridiron Songs". Jazz artists too...and a Bobby Hackett (which is what made me think of it). Here's a quick pic of a few of them:
  15. Hello everyone--first post here. I found this website linked through another forum and have been watching this thread, lots of great info on here. I started making a list of LPs to look out for that have been discussed in this thread.... Here's one of the latest for me: (Blue Note BLP 1562/47W.63rdNYC/DGx2/RVG/”p”) I also have a vinyl blog and just put it up there with a needledrop of a track: http://www.timenjoysrecords.com/records/horace-silver-quintet-the-sylings-of-silver
