  1. Didnt I point out that he wasnt? He was just making a big noise and all. So we all made some big noises back. Im glad things are calming down, and I think what Rob said was truthful and made sense. Im sorry for getting so upset, but when people mess with my family I always get a bit...angry. Love to all, Jessie
  2. i was banned, and i hadnt even signed in yet. yeah for openmindedness!
  3. Ok, this is like a lot of things. It starts out nice and "Christian" and then ends in threats and vague idealogy thrown like reeses candy into icecream. Alright, pal, you messed with my brother and my brother's friends and now Im going to exercise some of that Christian free speech you talked about. First of all, you've started this addressing "one anti-christian" and ended it saying that this site is a "haven for anti-christian bigots..". You do realize that if you tell this to someone, and yet you profess not to believe it, then you're lying. And you do realize that telling a falsehood about someone else is a big Christian no-no, right? Second, lets assume you're right. Lets say that this board is full of "anarchist attitudes". You're protecting your children? Let me show you something about what a liar you are. What is represented by music, in all of music history, is a blatant disregard for censorship of any kind, and a burning passion to scream out what life is with every fiber of your being. Music is about pain, heartache, saying fuck you, and still being able to look at your audience and feel like you've become a testament for what life really is. Without lies to protect the world and without threats that make you fear what you dont agree with or cant understand. You think you know music, but if you really did you would be out there fucking making it, not blathering about the poor children and the evil they'll see if they actually LISTEN to the records you promote. You are a big fish in a little pond, and you know your life is a labyrinth of hypocrisy and the vague imprinted idealogy of the majority, which you think gives you the right to judge how a new mind, a child, deserves to be raised and talked to. "What goes around comes around"? Yeah, I read that too. You know what else I read in that little book you subscribe to so blindly? Before prying at the splinter in your brother's eye, take the plank out of your own. You think you can tell us how to talk, how to act, how to think? You think you really know whats right and whats wrong for every man woman and child on this planet? YOU? Who ARE you except a mealy-mouthed stone-throwing narrowminded lying hypocrite? Go wash your faith in dirty water, and see how clean you really are, before coming back here with your righteous bullshit. Jessie.
  4. Hey, this is a great thought-provoking discussion. But I just wanted to pop in real quick and speak up for us younguns! Sure, most kids arent like me, but my friend and I both love the blues and we're only 18. There IS a crowd of kids who listen when something honey-sweet and soulful comes out of the radio every once and awhile--there ARE kids like me who dont listen to MTV top 40, or watch J-Lo and her pathetic excuse for "music". It's just that the squeaky wheel gets the grease. You know? Those who are out there being all disgruntled and angsty, are making the most noise and therefore getting the most attention. Meanwhile, I bet there are a LOT more people just DYING to get some good soulful music back on the radio. If I could only have more jazz and blues getting played around where young people are, I think there would be a surge of new interest. I mean, I think people are getting mighty sick of studio bands and cheap imitation music. I think that pretty soon, people are going to wise up and start demanding bands that can actually play Live and jam like John Lee Hooker and Marvin Gaye and all the old greats used to! I heard Ben Folds (alternative band for those who dont know) on Saturday Night Live the other day, and the lead singer couldnt even sing on key!! It was depressing! So, that's my two cents, as a newby out here. I'm just bursting with pride that my brother is making music that's worthwhile, and that he has this forum where REAL musicians can come together. Maybe there will be a surge of good music again. We're starving for it. Sica
  5. Hey, nice work indeed! I'm also a mainly "pencil" artist. So, I know what you're going through to draw those. But isnt it just worth it? Pencil is so rarely used anymore, but so awesome. I will never fall out of love with it. I dont draw Jazz musicians, but I have been known to draw artists of various sorts...
  6. Hey all! Use3d? Sounds like some kinda WEIRD person to me! Just kidding. I am B3-ers sister with the fro. Rockin. Sica
