  1. I fell out at 8pm and slept until 6:30am or so. I needed that. Four tunings today. Then off to Chicago tomorrow.

  2. At the Milan airport. Heading home. Can't wait to see my babies and my beautiful, sexy, wonderful wife.

  3. Last show in Italy went very well tonight. The band was on fire. Janiva sang her heart out. One more day and then back home. Quick random thought: Experiencing almost two weeks of European eating habits reveals what I already knew... Americans eat like shit. I urge all my FB friends to eat healthier, get rid of the processed foods, eat more vegetables and fruit, and take pride in your meals!

  4. Last gig tonight in Ameno, Italy. It's been a whirlwind!

  5. All right. Two more gigs in Italy. Tomorrow we have a six hour drive. Yikes. Gonna hit the hay soon and get some much needed sleep.

  6. Got eaten alive tonight by mosquitoes but hey, we're in frickin' Italy, so who cares!?! :) Having a ball! Another show tomorrow. Early nighty night for me. Sleep beckons.

  7. Pero, Italy tonight. Only four more gigs on this European run. Gonna make the most of them!

  8. Performing in Como, Italy tonight. I'm ready to PLAY! Let's go!

  9. Day two in Italy. What an amazing place. We have a much needed day off today and all I can think about is getting more of the absolutely incredible food. YUM!

  10. Tonight sharing the bill with the one and only Brian Auger in Brugnera, Italy. How cool is that?

  11. Tolossa, Spain. What a place! Onward to Italy tomorrow for a show in Brugnera.

  12. On to Spain tomorrow to play the Tolos & Blues Festival.

  13. Playing the Gaildorf Blues Festival tonight in Germany. Friends Shawn McDonald, Lorenzo Farrell, and Kevin Anker are also here. And friend Volker Wolfman Kunschner graciously loaned his B3. It's gonna be a good time!

  14. Made it to Germany. I'm almost done with my Dan Simmons novel. Will probably finish it tonight. Tomorrow playing the Gaildorf Blues Festival and then on into Spain!

  15. I just flew into Stuttgart and will be in Europe for the next week and a half with Janiva Magness. Here are the dates: JULY 2011 1 Gaildorf, Germany Gaildorf Blues Festival 2 Tolossa, Spain Tolosand Blues 3 Brugnera, Italy Parco Villa Vardo Blues in Villa Festival 5 Como, Italy Lario Jazz R n' Blues Festival 6 Aosta, Italy Sol Blues Festival 8 San Vito Cadore, Italy San Vito Cadore Blues Festival 9 Ameno, Italy Ameno Blues Festival
  16. Tuned six pianos in two days. Whew! Off to Europe tomorrow. Germany, Spain, and then Italy for a week. Never been to Spain or Italy and I'm really looking forward to it! Ciao!

  17. Really upset to hear about the passing of Wilton Machen, saxophonist from Grand Rapids and a very special human being. I've been wanting to feature him on an organissimo recording for years and now that cannot happen. RIP Mache, you were truly one of a kind.

  18. Back in Detroit. Deplane, find my car, and drive home to my baby.

  19. McCabes Guitar Shop tonight at 8pm in Los Angeles. Hope to see some LA friends tonight!

  20. Back to LA tonight. Playing Carlsbad, CA tomorrow and McCabe's Guitar Shop in Santa Monica on Saturday night. Back home for two days Sunday and then two weeks in Europe.

  21. Taping an episode of BackStage Pass from WKAR tonight with Greg Nagy. Also on hand, Jim Shaneberger, Kevin DePree, and The Motor City Horns. Last night's rehearsal was a ball. Tonight is going to be rockin'!

  22. Actually, after writing that I realized I hadn't been to the PO in awhile. Just got back. We're at around $1500. Thanks, folks!
  23. With the checks, we're at $1100.
  24. Treasure Island was included in the PC Kindle software download, so I read it this weekend. Now I know the definition of such handy words as "gammon", "coxswain", "keelhauling", and "lubber". 'Tis quite useful and you may lay to that!

  25. Taking the red-eye home tonight. Arrive in E.L around 9am, sleep a few hours, then over to WKAR for BackStage Pass with Greg Nagy & Co. Back to LA this weekend. Aren't I the jet-setter?
