I have a copy in very nice shape of this book. The cover is blue, no dust jacket, no foxing. If it were a record I'd rate it NM-. For sale, $37 plus shipping which will probably be around $4 for media mail. PM with any questions.

Regarding New York Stories, evidently Gatton's leads were all done after the tracks were recorded.

according to Ed Eastridge, Gatton's preferred engineer.

I am a George Adams fanatic. A couple of lesser known dates to keep an eye out for, Hank Marr, Sounds From the Marr-ket Place on King, no doubt his 1st recording (with Blood Ulmer too boot) and Boston based Orange Then Blue featuring George on Where Were You. My favorite Adams date is the Adams/Pullen disc Life Lines I crack up every time I hear Protection, 1:35 of Adams channeling '50's r'n'b tenor.
And his version of Send in the Clowns always gives me goose bumps.

Pm sent on Jazz on Disques Vogue.

Hey Dmitri, where was this? I saw Leon Russell last night at the Odeum in EG, not bad but too loud.
-
I just picked this up today, disappointed that there is no booklet.
-
Regarding the David Sanborn, I am pretty sure George Adams got a credit on Heart to Heart. A payday, no solos though.

Thanks guys, items set aside pending payment, pm's sent, list updated.

Thanks for that remembrance Mark. If this board had a like button on posts I would push it.
-
Thanks everyone for the suggestions, ought to keep me occupied for awhile.
-
I have long appreciated Cowell's playing and the fact that he's a favorite of a lot of other musicians. I don't have much by him as a leader though. I'd appreciate recommendations. But, to keep it really focused I ask that you keep recommendations to only one or two must haves. (Hoping to avoid a thread recounting every date he ever lead). Currently have Illusion Suite only.
-
I used to have some of this material on vinyl, part of the Boris Rose enterprise I believe. If you can listen to other Boris Rose items then listening to these broadcasts should be no problem.
-
Thanks for posting the link. So this is one of the items from the Savory collection?
-
Yeah, send me the list, thanks.
-
Happy birthday, hope the day treats you well. I see you are gaining on me.
-
Thanks guys for the birthday wishes, I have had a super busy month with hardly a chance to breath.

I am using a small chunk of Magic Eraser. As I understand it the key with the Magic Eraser is to drop the tip in and lift, no need to drag the Magic Eraser over the surface of the needle.
-
I think his best work is on Audioquest. Glad I had the chance to see him live some years ago at Chan's in Woonsocket. I listen to him on a regular basis.
-
One of my favorite Mosaics. GLWTS.

HI Dan,
This cd cherry picks from the series you are asking about.
I have it and enjoy it now and then, particularly Richard Berry's remake of Louie Louie.
-
PM sent.

It comes as being in stock at Klompfoot (formerly Cadence North Country).
