  7. Now listening to Gemini (1972) from this CD:
  8. Still enjoying Erroll: Erroll Garner - Long Ago and Far Away (Columbia, 1987) with John Simmons (b) and Shadow Wilson (d); recorded in 1950-51
  9. Next up: Azymuth - Outubro (Milestone/Far Out, 1980)
  10. More EG: The Erroll Garner Collection, Vol. 2: Dancing on the Ceiling (EmArcy, 1989) with Eddie Calhoun (b) and Kelly Martin (d) Previously unissued tracks, recorded between 1961 and 1965.
  11. Erroll Garner - The Complete Concert by the Sea (Legacy, 3 CDs) Disc 3 - Original album edit Garner's music is so irrepressible and irresistible. It's very nice to have the uncut concert on discs 1 & 2, but the original album is so engrained in my ear from years of listening that I can't help preferring it. . . . This album's AQ has never been ideal, and it still isn't. That said, the sound of this Legacy set is much improved compared to the "Columbia Jazz Masterpieces" version that I've had since my college days. Good stuff, T.D.! A terrific CD! I'm especially partial to Louisiana Slim.
  12. Probably my favorite J-LP album.
  13. Brahms' Fourth Symphony, as performed by Furtwängler & the Berlin PO (rec. 1948):
  14. Twice today: Also:
