  1. I wasn't aware that it had been reissued either -- until I saw it on Dusty Groove's site. According to Discogs, it was reissued in January of this year. I'm super-stoked that it's available again. I'm not a Japanese jazz expert, but it's definitely one of the most compelling J-jazz albums I've ever heard. EDIT The down-side of the reissue? Like many Japanese reissues, it's not cheap. It cost me nearly $50. OTOH, the one original Kiso listed on Discogs is priced at $1,649. 😬
  2. @jazzbo, what aspect(s) of their "house sound" don't appeal to you? I'm just curious.
  3. I love that stuff.
  4. I just ordered this LP from Dusty Groove: Miyazawa Akira Quartet ‎- 木曽 = Kiso (Victor JP, rec. 1970) with Masahiko Sato (p), Yasuo Arakawa (b), and Takeo Moriyama (d) I discovered this astonishing album a few years ago via YouTube. I can't wait to hear it in high fidelity.
  5. A superb compilation.
  6. Hampton Hawes - Blues for Bud (Black Lion, rec. 1968) with Jimmy Woode and Art Taylor
