  2. And one more Bruce Forman LP featuring Bobby Hutcherson:
  3. I have it. Sounds OK to me. Comparatively speaking, I've heard plenty of records with much more heavy-handed filtration. OTOH, my 50-something year old ears ain't what they used to be . . .
  4. Another LP by Bruce Forman: The special guest is Bobby Hutcherson.
  5. Now playing: Love that singular sound of Johnny Hodges' saxophone. Best wishes for a very happy and prosperous 2025 to everyone on this forum.
  6. You got me curious. And the other would be . . . ???
  7. Oh yes. Absolutely. Seems like Rowles' playing was ALWAYS interesting. He's one of those pianists who can make you say "Wow!!" with just one chord. Sorry to hear this news. R.I.P.
  8. Now playing: Monnette Sudler - Brighter Days for You (SteepleChase, 1978) with Khan Jamal (mar); Oliver Collins (p); Tyrone Brown (b); Newman Baker (d); William "Duke" Wilson (cga, perc)
  9. Next up: McCoy Tyner - Horizon (Milestone, 1980)
  10. Now spinning: Cat Anderson - Cat Speaks (Classic Jazz / Black & Blue, 1977)
  11. GREAT music -- and lovely cover image.
  12. I'm listening to two different versions of Rimsky-Korsakov's Le Coq D'Or Suite. Earlier: Now:
  13. This again: Some terrific Gary Bartz on this record.
