  6. Santi Debriano - Soldiers of Fortune (Evidence/Free Lance, 1990) with John Purcell (ts, fl, b cl), David Fiuczynski (g), Joe Locke (vib), Kenny Werner (p, synth), Ronnie Burrage (d) Debriano is an interesting composer and musician.

  13. Chet Baker - Peace (Enja, 1982) with David Friedman (vib, mar), Buster Williams (b), and Joe Chambers (d) Outstanding.
  14. The two saxmen are supported by an excellent rhythm section.

  16. Turning out to be a day of Latin music. Irakere - El Coco (Milestone) I think this is the last Irakere album with Arturo Sandoval. Paquito D'Rivera was already gone. and César Camargo Mariano & Hélio Delmiro - Samambaia (EMI/Odeon Brazil)
  17. This is the first full-length LP that Bobby Hutcherson ever appeared on. Hutcherson's only previous recordings were two cuts on Pacific Jazz sampler under the leadership of Les McCann.
  18. Andrew Cyrille - Special People (Soul Note, 1980) with Ted Daniels, David S. Ware, and Nick De Geronimo and Zoot Sims - Suddenly It's Spring (Pablo/OJC, 1983) with Jimmy Rowles, George Mraz, and Akira Tana The opening cut, "O Cantador" !!! Phew! Amazing.
