    Curious about these performaqnces (and others). Haven't heard many Haydn string quartets performances. What do you like about this performance ?

    Yeah ... i take it for what it is. Mariss Jansons in full control ... can hear the romantic beauty and melancholy of the Russian soul. Also good warm sound if you crank up the volume.

    Made in Russia but more important Pletnev and Rachmaninov share the same Zodiac Sign resulting in a insightfull recording. This recording earned a Penguin Rosette.
