  1. familiar to Horowitz maybe ...
  2. Big surprise when i bought the disc for 50 cent. There is magic in the 'Schubert recording especially and i don't say it light-hearted. These pianists fit eachother very well like a well-blend whiskey without edges. A breathtaking performance because of the perfect balance between dynamic fire, perfect pianismo and ... silence. Schubert's 'Fantasia' is one of his more fascinating compositions in general.
  3. Violin Concerto (Yehudi Menuhin)
  4. Brahms / Sonata No. 3 * Intermezzi 1&3 Topnotch 'Brahms' interpreter!
  5. and insublime sound to. 'Brilliant' uses the original digital masters (licenced from the motherlabel). bye the way intriged by this cover and i bet the performance is out of this world
  6. ... another interesting thriftstore-find on the 'Brilliant classics' label. True treasures here for 2,50 euro. Np Sergei Rachmaninov, Arthur Rubinstein, John Lhevinne, Vladimir Horowitz
  7. A interesting 50 cent thriftstore-find. They play Mozart 'airy' (Mozart called it 'oily') as it should be played ! Also issued on the 'Seraphim' label.
