String Quartet in B flat major, Op4 (1890) Is played at virtuoso level on this premiere recording. It is the ending that hits me the most.

A recording filled with 'feeling'. Detailed and the right tempi. Great stuff for sure. Can you explain why you think he is a genius ? I am seriously questioning myself.

Listening again. Recommended especially for the Franck-sonata recording. Did almost blew me out of my chair. Mintz playing here is so... so intense and convincing ! superb !!! Don't possibly underestimate this recording of Franck's sonata because they were very young at the moment of the recording.

I understand what you said about his music bringing you into a 'meditative state'. This recording is somehow a hit for me.
