  1. Eh, I get the feeling DePodesta is next on the chopping block. I knew moneyball wouldn't work in the NFL, and I think it's only a matter of time before he takes his talents back to baseball where they actually belong. Oh, I don't think there's any doubt about that. If one could critically look at what Gronk, Iloka, and Smith-Schuster did and see them as equal, that person should be committed to a rubber room.
  2. Sashi Brown is out in Cleveland. GREAT move by Haslam! "We have great appreciation and gratitude for Sashi's commitment and leadership to our organization but believe transitioning to someone with strong experience and success in drafting and building consistently winning football teams is critical to the future of the Cleveland Browns." Um, yeah... Someone with strong experience and success should usually be of primary concern... At least the "moneyball" experience in the NFL is over.
  3. Of course not. But that is no cause for suspension. If it were, there'd be a hell of a lot more players out each week.
  4. Agreed 100%! The running joke amongst us old school fans for the last couple of decades has been that they might as well turn this into a flag football league. That penalty and suspension really reinforces that mindset. Just awful.
  5. The Giants ownership and front office made the Browns look competent. I’ve honestly never seen a clusterfuck that compares with what they’ve shown in the past two weeks. And like Paul said, Geno hasn’t been viable in years.
  6. They may have, but I'm not sure anything in that piece provides any evidence. Unless I'm missing something. ?
  7. It's a fair argument, especially considering they're even worse this year than they were last. I guess my point is the bigger problem is the front office. Just take into account the A.J. McCarron debacle at the trade deadline.
  8. What has he been given? Their problem is more front office than coaching staff.
  9. I’d never bet on him to lose... There is no monogamy when it comes to leg tingling, Mr. Kart.
  10. I don't know... There was a certain someone that gave him a tingling sensation up his leg once.
  11. Ah, thanks Stefan. I wasn't aware of that.
  12. Wow! That's a shocking development. He must have owned up to it considering how quick and decisive their action was. I saw our President sent out a typical tweet concerning it... :|
  13. Retail stores are closing in record numbers due to the internet. People would rather shop from home, or on their phone from a comfortable location. That’s got nothing to do with Jazz, any or genre, or really anything at all. It’s just a new way the world operates, and really can’t be used as any reliable measure of popularity.
  14. Your posts were removed, too. I “wanted” nothing. But hey, whatever makes you happy. And the political forum has been gone for at least a couple of years now. There were four people responsible for that. Two were banned, and one is the owner of this website. But if you want to give me all the credit, hey why not? It’s consistent with your standard operating procedure.
  15. For christ sake, Paul. This thread has been political since October 10! Did you not notice for the last 9 pages, or are you simply outraged now that I have mentioned something political?
  16. Wow! Epic-level necroposting! Last post was seven years ago! Guess we don’t have many Thanksgiving afficianados here. Either way, hope everyone that celebrates it enjoys their day. My day started with me checking in on the snakes I’m babysitting for friends across town. We’ll have a full traditional meal around pm, and then do some pre-decorating for our Decoration Day tomorrow. Have fun, folks!
  17. It's not just Berry (who is indeed a monstrous loss). But Tamba Hali and Dee Ford have barely played at all this season, which kills our pass rush. Even Justin Houston still doesn't seem right. Marcus Peters is also a wildly overrated corner. And they are sorely deficient in the middle after losing Dontarie Poe this past off season. Mad for the offense, Reid is no longer being aggressive downfield, mostly because Kareem Hunt and the running game have disappeared. Now, some of that can be attributed to the O-line having not played together much of the season, but there is a monster regression there regardless. And my personal narrative hasn't really changed. I've said for the past couple of years that I don't think Reid and Smith can take this team to the next level. I like watching them because they're a really fun regular season team, but pretty much all Chiefs fans know that the early January exit is inevitable. And nobody I know that actually keeps up with the Chiefs thought they were Super Bowl bound. That was just a media reaction.
  18. The Chiefs are simply bad. They are not a playoff team. It’s time to finally cut bait with Smith and Reid after this season. They hit their ceiling years ago.
  19. Cool! I had never heard of Hoopla before. Looks like an amazing service! Thanks for mentioning it, I’m going to give it a try for their audiobooks.
  20. Yeah, I was listening to Roscoe Mitchell’s Bells For The South Side yesterday. Good stuff.
  21. Julio Jones.
  22. Have you considered streaming? Not sure if the titles you're referencing are available, but they could be. I can check for them on Apple Music if you'd like.
