  1. OK, Allen. Zapruder 313-317. Show me the wound to the rear of his skull. Show me ANY damage that would indicate a shot fired from the front.
  2. Allan, Thanks for the post. This Junior Parker Sun Sessions is on emusic but it doesn't list who plays on it. Is it safe to assume Pat Hare would be on these? http://www.emusic.com/album/Little-Junior-...d/10932980.html According to the first Classics issue of Junior Parker's recorded work, the first two tunes listed do not have Hare, the remainder do. Floyd Murphy is the sole guitarist on "Feelin' Good" and "Fussin and fightin".
  3. You need another Lee Morgan CD, like Consequence!
  4. That would be this one: which lists for $17 at Amazon but has used copies starting at $9. Having a different Junior Parker comp of the Sun sessions, I've held off on this but I really ought to go for it just to hear "I'm Gonna Murder My Baby".
  5. Yeah, I can only imagine what a mental midget like you teaches his students about JFK.
  6. You read through this site: http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/home.htm and then see if you really don't understand the reality of Oswald as the lone assassin. Read through it all. EVERY SINGLE FACT that exists about the assassination makes Oswald the sole man responsible. Are you aware that the latest "conspiracy" theory has it that the Zapruder film was faked? That's what the conspiracy nuts are down to. First it was "the Zapruder film is the proof of the shooter on the grassy knoll" to "the Zapruder film was faked by the government to protect the killers!" And as for that "faked" evidence and your claim of an entry would in the front (which requires that the massive head wound be located in the back of Kennedy's skull, let's take a look at the video: Where's the wound, Allen? How does the back of the President's head look to you? COMPLETELY INTACT. There's no better proof that he head shot came from the rear. And I am very serious in advising you to read through that website. It covers every element - the reality of the supposed "magic bullet" through Jim Garrisson's willfully fraudulent case, the "evidence" for a shooter in the front; the reality of why a shot from the rear results in the movement seen on film (basically the explosion out of the front of his head is like a rocket exhaust, forcing the head away from the defect in the skull) the supposed "murder" of witnesses, the extraordinary lengths Oliver Stone went to falsify history. There's even an extensive discussion of why the idea that Kennedy was a "liberal martyr" is completely ludicrous (you would be very well advised to read about Kennedy's support for Joe McCarthy here and his feelings about Nixon here. I'll say it again: No intelligent person can believe, from all of the available evidence, 40+ years after the fact, that Lee Harvey Oswald wasn't the lone assassin.
  7. I thought it might be interesting if this thread went in this forum but then again I should have expected this kind of vile filth. Will one of the mods place this thread where it belongs so that all the other liberal haters can shit on the memory of a great man without my having to read it? Thank you in advance. Should everything that offends you be moved to some "doesn't offend Dan Gould" folder? There was no vile filth, just one guy's assessment of what a public figure was all about. Doesn't mean that I'd put it in those terms, but there was nothing vile or filthy about it. No, no vile filth at all. I would appreciate it however if BM gets back to me and lets me know if I am a child molester, mentally disordered (or perhaps both). And for whatever its worth Paul, Buckley subsequently declared that he was wrong for supporting segregation and wrong for opposing the Voting Rights and Civil Rights Acts and ultimately supported a national holiday for MLK. There is a far more rational and even-handed discussion of Buckley's life here at the New York Times not that you would have any reason whatsoever to read it.
  8. And now we've got comments from old Rusty, and you gotta wonder what he's been smokin': Did he not get the notification that this is now potentially a criminal matter? Is he already resigned to the fact that there will be an indictment? And that last comment - yeah, he's right. Roger will be held properly accountable for outrageous statements. More on the specifics of what the Committee views as possible points where the truth and Roger's assertions diverge: And back to Rusty: Good luck with all that, Rusty. At least you'll be cashing big checks even when your client ends up in the big house.

  10. No intelligent person can believe that anyone other than Lee Harvey Oswald was involved in the JFK assassination.
  11. Hope you don't think even worse of me, Allen, but its the Duke - Mercury Junior Parker that I love best. I much prefer his smooth "mature" singing style.
  12. More from the referral letter: The highlighted paragraph shows just how many other issues the committee had testimony on that contradicted Clemens. Could there be an indictment charging perjury on all of it? As far as McNamee goes, if he doesn't get the libel case dismissed, I would expect that he could ask for a continuance pending the conclusion of the Federal investigation. If the Feds prove perjury, the case would have to be dismissed. Kind of funny how in the 60 Minutes interview Clemens complained about how much money it might cost him to try to undo the supposed harm from the Mitchell Report. By the time the Feds are through, Roger might need to pitch another 1/2 season just to replenish the coffers.
  13. Wait a cotton-pickin' minute! Clemens is white - why would he be the target of a steroid-perjury investigation? We all know the government is only interested in black men, like poor sainted Barry Lamar Bonds and would always give a free pass to a white man like Clemens! Oh. You mean Timmy was wrong about that. Oh well. He's wrong so often, I figured the law of averages meant that he might be right about this. A sad day for Clemens, one of many to come, I suspect. But as they say, he's made his bed and now he'll have to sleep in it. Unfortunately what he is going to find out now is that: The Feds won't care about his 354 wins, or kissing his ass in public The Feds won't be intimidated by his glare, and there won't be any splintered bats for him to heave at them The Feds will apply all of their power to this investigation. They'll subpoena every former Blue Jay teammate to find out if he spoke about the Canseco party in the clubhouse afterwards. They'll use every forensic test they can to determine if Clemens DNA or fingerprints are on the syringes and gauze pads. The Feds won't give Andy Pettitte or his wife a free pass on testifying to all matters at issue, and in much greater depth than the committee staffers did. This shit is for real now - and the Feds have a pretty good record so far in going after everyone who has lied to them or otherwise refused to play ball when it comes to steroid use/distribution.
  14. always a day late.
  15. Well Timmy you can forget about seeing the pictures for yourself anytime soon, but you can rest assured that they exist and that they are in the hands of Federal Prosecutors. From ABC News: So, a picture of Clemens and the boy and Canseco and the boy, same location, boy wearing the same clothes? Good luck trying to prove they weren't taken on the day of the party. Now, I don't know that a perjury count will come out of this (because of the fact that he backed off the claim later in his testimony), but I will say that as more evidence appears that Clemens was at the party: his credibility continues to fall to pieces, because the entire point of their congressional testimony was "see? we can prove Roger wasn't there - so everything McNamee says it a lie!" his contacting the nanny, inviting her to his home, talking to her about the party and telling her "the reason you don't remember the party is because I wasn't there" really starts to look more and more like willful witness tampering. That may be his greatest risk regarding the party issue. But in the meantime, the Feds will do their due diligence, starting with showing the pictures to Canseco and asking him, is this your home? Is this you and the young boy? Was Roger Clemens ever at your house on another day, with this young man, when the picture could have been taken? When you get right down to it, I have to wonder whether the Feds are going to use this to try to "flip" Canseco. I mean, Canseco willfully prepared an affidavit stating that Clemens wasn't at the party and had that affidavit given to Congress. If he lied, its got to qualify as a Federal offense. If I'm Novitzky, the first thing I say is, "Jose, you need to be honest with us. If you know how Roger got his steroids, you better tell us now or we will prosecute you for lying to Congress." You gotta leverage your assets, and its possible that they'll now have something to leverage on Canseco.
  16. Your browser unfreezes if you click through all the pseudo-MS boxes with the lyrics. Did it occur to anyone to just turn off your speakers and just keep an eye out for the cute chick?
  17. Not to answer for him but I'd say that Chris Botti has appeal across racial lines, but with a predominantly white audience overall. Kind of like the chick singer he's been backing.
  18. That he may be, but you were watching Rick Astley.
  19. As I mentioned above, I saw Boney James, who is without a doubt the most pathetic of all the smooth jazzers aside from the G-Spot, win an award on a BET broadcast of some black music award ceremony. Also, I don't doubt that Smooth Jazz appeals to a certain African American demographic - professional, middle class and above, their kids listen to rap/hip hop but they don't care for it. These are people who grew up listening to Gladys Knight and Grover Washington and George Benson in the post-Civil Rights era, and smooth jazz fits their lifestyle.
  20. I forgot to mention this was an exhibition game against a Dominican Republic team ("El Borrachos del Norte" I think?), which had Sidd's rights for winter ball. So Finch actually pitched for both teams during the game, running between dugouts to change jerseys between innings. He ended being both the winning *and* losing pitcher that night! HEY! Did I oversleep and wake up on April Fools Day?
  21. Though I think he still utilizes the "vibrating column of air" thing on ballads, I'd agree that his overall sound moved toward Zoot quite a while ago. Not a slavish imitator, I can recognize Scott pretty easily these days but I think your general observation is correct.
  22. Like you didn't. Its like when someone tells you the milk is spoiled, you still open the container for another whiff. I have not clicked. You're a better man than I, Gunga Din.
  23. If the problem was so obvious why did they even continue? I guess Alfred didn't blow up the way he supposedly did during the Dex-Stitt session.
