I just noticed that in some of the sessions, Horace Tapscott plays the trombone.
He can also be heard to this effect on Lou Blackburn - The Complete Imperial Sessions from the BN Connoisseur series.
Thanks Colin. I have to add it to my endless wish list.
Today, September10, is Prince Lasha's birthday. If he had not passed away nearly three years ago, he could celebrate his 82ed birthday. In honor of his birthday, "Insight" will find his way to my CD player today.
Please keep in mind that Rollins BN recordings is not a "set" in the usual sense of the word: It is a package of the 5 individual disks (with the original liner notes of each CD). The price is atractive, though.
I think you mean Alicia de Larrocha.
I have these sets:
Emil Gilels Edwin Fischer Alfred Cortot Wlater Gieseking Sviatoslav Richter Menuhin & Grapelli Andres Segovia Leopold Stokowski
Musically, they are all recommended. There are some sound problems with the early recordings of Alfred Cortot & Segovia but this is something I can live with.

Done. Thanks Hans.
Yes, they offer it for £41.76 and I believe it will be cheaper.
