  1. The guy was funny. R.I.P.
  2. "What we've got here is...failure to communicate."
  3. Why did you put a question mark after your first sentence? Most of us are indeed "older men", me still thinks you is one as well.
  4. Makes me think of the Seinfeld episode when Kramer buys a meat slicer. Some classic lines... Kramer: Hey, our meat problems are solved. Jerry: Where did you get this thing? Kramer: I traded it to my sausage press. Look how thin that is, see that's all surface area. The taste has nowhere to hide. Kramer: This slicer is indomitable. Jerry: Where did you get that butcher's coat? Kramer: You buy enough meat, they'll give you anything Elaine: Can it cut that thin? Kramer: Oh, I've cut slices so thin, I couldn't even see them. Elaine: How did you know you cut it? Kramer: Well, I guess I just assumed.
  5. That goes without saying.
  6. AAAAWWWWW, DAYUUUUULLLE!
  7. hehe I'm travelling to Charlotte this weekend. One of my equipment vendors (Husqvarna) gave me an all expense paid trip for two including seats in their corporate suite and the entrance to the garages for the Coca Cola 600. Yeeeehaaawww! I'm no Nascar fan, but the trip was too good to pass on. It's a "no shirt, no shoes, no service" policy for the suites, so I think I'm safe.
  8. I could do 30 standing on my head! I'll drink one in your honor.
  9. Yeah, that place isn't too bad. They are expanding quite a bit and have them in multiple states out west, including Arizona. It's only a matter of time before they head east. A chain that makes a fine burger, especially the turkey burger is Ruby Tuesday.
  10. I have to say that I recently went to Peter Lugers with three friends - three of us ordered steak, the other a burger. The guy who ordered a burger made a mistake. OTOH, I've been to PL about 10 times and once got a really, really, really bad steak (the other 9 were among the best steaks I've ever had). So I suppose that my buddy could have just been unlucky and gotten a bad burger on a fluke. It happens. I've only had one burger from Lugers and it was pretty damn good. What's your pick for Manhattan? Hard to say. Here are a few picks by neighborhood: West Village: Corner Bistro over on Jane Street. Little Italy/Soho: Eight Mile Creek on Mulberry is the place that adds the lamb fat to the beef. Hell's Kitchen: Island Burger (on ninth street?). Only problem is they don't do fries. Daniel's burger, though gimmicky, is really good. But like I said it isn't a real burger. Island does the fried pickles, right? Burger Joint on 57th Street is good.
  11. hehe As some of you may or may not know, I am part owner of a landscape business out west. We maintain contracts mainly for various government agencies with our biggest customer being the department of transportation. I have at any time maybe 20-25 crews working on the highways 5-6 days a week. Needless to say given the rocky environment we receive calls from time to time about chipped or broken windshields when performing certain tasks. My standard practice to is pay the claim if proven valid. More times than not they are bullshit, given that every other car in that neck of the woods has a broken windshield from all the rocks flying around as a result of the construction trucks and the desert environment. Recently this guy called to complain that his BMW was hit and it was our fault. My foreman denies the possibility, so we had the guy file an accident report with DPS. When we got the claim form it was filled out no further than the guy giving his name and address. No make of car, no report of damage, no details. So, we left it at that. This was the email he sent one of my office girls today... (I have XXXX out the names to protect the innocent) And for the record we were doing work as directed by the DOT using the correct equipment with all the safety devices installed. Thanks for your help XXXXXXX. I realize this has no reflection on your or you ability to help correct this. On that note: This is no big surprise to me. My next step is Channel 12 for the stupidity of the company to be running weed eaters in the rocks on a heavily travel roadway without using extra care in the process. It is a shame that American companies have become such a disgusting group money grubbing bastards, while the respectful folks in life keep taking up the ass. You can forward this to XXXXXXX. Thanks again for YOUR help. XXXXX I am tempted to send the guy a note saying we are in fact a Saudi Arabian owned company.
  12. She must be a good woman to let you do the "big party" type wedding. If I ever do it a second time, that's the way I'm going out. Congratulations and best of luck to you both!

  14. Not sure, but it is pretty good. Guy In & Out never impressed me much when out west. One chain that did though, was Fatburger. Some good-a-burgers can be found in Queens at Donovan's Pub in both Woodside and Bayside. Bosna-Express in Ridgewood was recommened by clementine and it lived up to the hype. When in Brooklyn, check out Dumont, or Peter Luger if you dare.
  15. The two jazz musicians is a bit of a strecth. Oh, and you forgot to leave the second "S" off for savings.
  16. Could be right. But, those guys just stopped coming around and you would think they would want to stay close to him. If there was a weapons charge on Tony as a result of what Christopher did, it would be a little thin. Doesn't seem like there is much to build a case on. After all Tony, tipped the feds to the fact that he thinks they may be terrorists. It would be one thing if he kept dealing with them. Now he looks as if he has done a public service. All these different theories is why this last season has been so great. I hope they don't disappoint us.
  17. It might be because Tony ordered the hit on Patsy's brother and he has always wanted more for his daughter. This relationship sucks Meadow into the Mob world forever, on some level. Tony certainly did not want that when he kept trying to keep the Aprile boy away from the Mob when he was dating Meadow. Yes and no. The main difference though is that Patsy's son is in med school and is in no way mixed up in the business, so he's stands a better chance of gaining Tony's approval and giving a different life to Meadow. In what episodes did we learn about Patsy's son? I just don't remember it. I thought they said he was studying to become a lawyer. My bad.

  19. Marrying Tony's sister worked miracles for Bobby. I would say it would be a positive for Patsy if Tony likes his son, more family connection and all. But it didn't seem that Tony was all too thrilled about the relationship.
  20. On the Howard Stern show this morning I heard a couple of interesting theories on a possibe ending. 1. The dream sequence when Tony was the salesman. In the end we are going to find out that was reality and this (events of the entire series) has all been something the salesman had as fantasy life/dream. 2. Tony is again back in a coma and everything from the accident with Christopher on, was a dream. Both huge stretches, but interesting thoughts nonetheless.
  21. I usually wave a T-Bone in their face, they run away like little children. Of course, you know I'm just funnin', don't cha? I've never seen a Vegan hand out tofu at JFK and I very rarely carry a T-Bone in my pocket.
  22. Duh, his name is all over the credits at the end of the videos. I mean I heard him mentioned on CNN. I think he means Bubba... Oh, never heard of him.
  23. A very evangelical religion in some cases! Yeah, them dudes are all over the airport handing out tofu and shit, it's very annoying.
  24. Let me guess, I'll bet the OP corduroy shorts are still alive. Check your dresser and report back. Dresser hell, I just needed to look in the mirror.
