  1. I'm hoping someone can give me some information on several Italian LP box sets (listed below) that were issued in the late 80s. I did search the forum but didn't have much luck. The Parker, Young and Holiday don't seem to have a label but from the similar title I assume they were put out by the same outfit. I wonder if the other box sets are also put out by the same outfit since they were also based in Italy and came out around the same time. I'm also curious how much of this material has ben issued elsewhere. Any information would be appreciated. Lester Young: Live And Private Recordings In Chronological Order (No Label) Billie Holiday: Live And Private Recordings In Chronological Order (No Label) Charlie Parker: Live And Private Recordings In Chronological Order (No Label) Earl Bud Powell – Pure Genius Always (Mythic Sound) Coleman Hawkins: Bean And The Boys - Live And Uncommercial Recordings 1940-1965 (Queen-disc – BEAN 01-21)
  2. Does anyone know if the new Aretha Franklin and Otis Redding box sets (The Atlantic Albums Collection and Soul Manifesto) have been remastered? I tried to contact Rhino Records and got no reply. For the prices these sets are being offered at I fear that Rhino has just re-packaged their existing masters and just thrown them together in new boxes...
  3. Trying to raise $ to buy some guitar equipment so I'm sadly putting this set on the market. All CDs have been been played but everything is in excellent condition. If interested I'm happy to send pictures of box, booklet, cases and CDs. I'm asking $300 USD and will pay for shipping on my end (US Only). If you're interested please PM me or send me a email @ walter.gross@gmail.com
  4. Against the grain of the collapsing CD market, FMR, who seem somehow to issue more CDs than anyone can count let alone buy, are issuing what I suppose is their complete Paul Dunmall back catalog on 50 CDs Paul is great and probably underestimated. This set is not for me - I'm feeling sick of CDs - but at 99 UKP plus shipping from the FMR website it might interest somebody...
