ghost of miles Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 A buddy of mine just sent me a link to this set, with which I'm unfamiliar: FatscompleteCityHall Can't find a listing for it in AMG... I have all of the Bluebird/Victor CD sets, but this listing provokes my curiosity. Quote
jazzbo Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 Oddly enough, I think there are 21 Chronogical Classics of Waller, and Classics are now distributed by City Hall. Coincidence? Quote
Guest Chaney Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 The book listed is: Muggsy Spanier: The Lonesome Road, A Biography and Discography by Bert Whyatt, Jazzology Press, 1995. Quote

That might explain why my buddy thought it was a Classics "box," which was a new concept to me. Classics has boxed up complete collections of 5 or 6 discs before for Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, and Count Basie. This would be a bit more of a stretch. Quote
