For whatever reason, no one seemed to bother to tape Lee or many other Jazz musicians except Miles or Trane back then, even into the 70's....partly because it wasn't easy sneaking a reel to reel, no matter how small into a club. When cassette players came, different thing. Lee played the former Fillmore East, as part of George Wein's Fest...I remember Lee on bill with Coleman Hawkins, one of his last gigs, Burton,...Lee had Frank Mitchell, Lord Walton, Reggie The Workingman and Our Man Higgins.
