Joe G Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 What about Big Al's current sig: Does anybody really read this stuff down here?!?!? I guess we've answered that question. Quote

ghost of miles Posted July 13, 2004 Author Report Posted July 13, 2004 From Edmund Morris' strange piece on Reagan in a recent New Yorker: His personal taste never advanced beyond the first affectations of the nouveau riche. Hence the Corum twenty-dollar-face wristwatch, the Countess Mara ties, the Glen checks too large or too pale, and a weekend tartan blazer that was, in Bertie Wooster’s phrase, “rather sudden, till you got used to it.” Quote
RDK Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 From our own RDK. "If you donot have tis album, you are stupid ass-donkey moron who no like jazz!!!" I think this came from the BNBB. Yep, it's an authentic BNBB album "review." I only wish I were clever enough to make something like that up! Quote
Indestructible! Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 (edited) Hi Ray, Hey man, you gots to know the REAL history of your own signature! It didn't come from the old BNBB, it came from a review of a Miles Davis CD (Birth of the Cool, I believe it was) on the actual Blue Note company's website. In fact, your signature wasn't even the best review of the CD given... For a few short days, there was a review by a guy who claimed that he and his "lover" used to listen to BOTC while getting off in some strange homoerotic sexcapades. It was hilarious! I pointed this out to the old BNBB, and then a few days later the suits at Blue Note took down the reviews. A pity, really... PSA good deed done for the day... "The More You Know"... RDK Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Hey Shane - of course you're right. I actually meant that it came from the BN site and the not the forum. Brain fart on my part. I did, however, forget the specific album the guy was refering to. And I certainly do recall the other "review" as well. I thought I saved it somewhere, but can no longer find it. It was wonderfully vulgar. Quote
Indestructible! Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Hi Ray, Oh man, if you saved that quote somewhere, I'd consider putting it in as my own signature! It was too funny!!! Although, I gotta admit, I still laugh pretty much every time I read your sig! B) Cheers, Shane Quote
