I'm trying to decide between something that's OOP, either from half.com, or through Amazon's used marketplace.

What's the standard shipping rate for one used disc through Amazon?? And do they cut you a break for shipping additional discs from the same seller?? (Like half.com does. Half.com's rates: $2.50 for the first disc, $1.50 for every disc after that from the same seller.)

Can't seem to find the shipping cost info on Amazon's site, I've lost my Amazon password -- and their "I forgot my password" thing doesn't work for me (some crap about me having to enter in the last X digits of the last credit card I used for a purchase from them, and they want some other info too).

Hell, maybe I'll just go with half.com, but if anybody happens to know Amazon's used-CD shipping rates, thanks!!

Thanks couw!!

Actually, I just went ahead and created a new Amazon account, and figured that would get me into the order enough to figure out the shipping charge. BUT NO, I had to enter my credit card number first, and it was only on the last screen of the order that they said what the shipping would be.

Same as half.com, basically, although it appears they don't give you a break on shipping multiple items from the same seller. :tdown

Yeah, Amazon and half.com are weird, won't let the seller go up or down in price. I was surprised to see from Couw's link that they charge the customer $2.49, but they only give a seller $1.84!!! This was the Billie Holiday Verve set I sold recently (cds had scratches, box had wear, got cheap!)

Buyer's Price: $79.95

(Please note Media Mail should only be used for standard shipping on Books, Music, Videos, DVDs, Computer Games, Video Games, and Computer Software.)

Amazon commission: ($12.98)

Additional shipping credit: $1.84

---------

Your earnings (in your Payments account): $68.81

You are required to ship this item even in cases that the shipping credit does not

fully cover your shipping costs.

As you can imagine, even bookrate I paid a bit more than $1.84 to ship set.... <_<

Yet, if someone overseas buys a dvd, they give me $8.95, which is way too much!
