I have a Definitive cd that is called The Complete Live At Jorgies. The date is from 1961 and were out on VGM Records in vinyl days. The cd has 10 tracks,6 from Jorgies and 4 from a 1963 studio date.

On the live stuff the band is Wes,Buddy,Monk and Billy Hart.

The studio stuff is Wes, Billy Taylor, Ben Tucker, Grady Tate and Joe Williams vocal on two tracks.

Don't know if thats the one, but its a start.

Wes Montgomey's ultra rare american club performance.

Anyone have any knowledge of this CD? I saw it for sale at jazzrecordmart. It doesn't list any track selection or where the club performances are from.

I would ask them to open it up and play it for you ... or ask one of the staff about it.

The six 8/19/61 Jorgie's tracks Bill refers to are:

all of you, heartstrings, summertime, back to bach to bock, (stella by) starlight, and round midnight. Unless I'm having one of my false recollections, I'm pretty sure Jorgie's is (was?) in St. Louis.

I have the Jorgie's tracks on a CD released by Magnetic some years ago. The 1963 (NYC) Billy Taylor / Joe Williams material (there will never be another you, a beautiful thing, the more i see you, more than likely) was also combined with 4 Jorgie's tracks on a VGM CD some years back.
