I enjoy it without a lime, as I feel the lime detracts from the rum flavour. I enjoy white rum, but prefer amber. Bacardi is a favorite brand, but I also like others: Saba Island (locally bottled), Bundaberg (from Australia), and Captain Morgan spiced rum. That 151 stuff is pretty potent - I've tried the Bacardi (it doesn't taste as powerful as some might think). It's nice, but I only like it on occasion. Received a 40 oz. bottle of Bacardi Amber from a friend of mine this week. Might dip into this weekend. Mmmm, rum.
