brownie Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 Noticed this on the Fantasyjazz.com site. This was news to me! Rollins was recording a new album just before his wife's death... Milestone recording artist SONNY ROLLINS was at Clinton Recording Studios in New York earlier this month, recording and mixing a new album--his first in four years. The disc, made with his current working band (Clifton Anderson, Bob Cranshaw, Steve Jordan, Kimati Dinizulu), will be released in 2005. Sonny's final concert of the year took place 10/22, at Kimmel Center in Philadelphia; his next booking is 3/16/05, at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.
