That's Bhumibol Adulyajed.

He's played with Benny Goodman, among others.

He also happens to be His Majesty King of Thailand B-)

So, I can't resist... is that Urbie Green, Jonah Jones (?), and... ?? Jack Sheldon?

Dmitry may have started a new fad here.

As we say in Russian - Everything new is well forgotten old.

I've been pestering y'all with the mystery jazz photos for about a year now, I think.

Got one or two more I'd like to decipher.

The King is a royal jazz fan and a saxophone player. And when Benny Goodman and his orchestra toured the Far East in 1956, the King of Thailand joined the King of Swing. First time he played at a concert, unless I'm wrong.

The photo that Big Wheel dug up was taken at another later tour.
