JSngry Posted January 27, 2005 Author Report Posted January 27, 2005 I thought so, but with my eyesight... Do you know which album and what label? Quote
brownie Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 The album is Teddy Buckner on Gene Norman Presents. Nice album with Joe Darensbourg on clarinet. Rec<orded in 1953. Don't have a copy but I heard the music when I was younger than Jazz Kat is now. This was distributed in France by Vogue records and was a pretty big hit over here. Quote
brownie Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 (edited) That's the one, couw. Great catch! Did not know the blownup image's original appearance at Organissimo when I posted And that it was the French LP version! Edited January 27, 2005 by brownie Quote
Harold_Z Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 BTW - Teddy is the trumpeter on screen behind Elvis in "King Creole" when they do "Evil". Quote
couw Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 That's the one, couw. Great catch! this one turned out too easy for brownie. Can you now please identify the 12" that is behind the small stack of 10" LPs? Quote
couw Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 I went a-searching with the info brownie gave. Found out soon enough that I should not pin myself on the title too much. Went to ebay to try my luck with "Teddy Buckner" only, and there it was, titled "Dixieland Jubilee." It's still there,, no bids yet. You can grab it for a dollar and a half + postage. Quote
