tooter Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 (edited) A video of Bill Evans playing with Marc Johnson and Eliot Zigmund at a small club in Rome is available on-line from easytree but the list of tunes he played is not complete. I have named some of them but three have eluded me so far. I have posted two complete performances and one part (ran out of room) at my website and would be grateful if you would take a listen and see if you can identify all or any of the tunes. You would need a fast connection to download I think. Please post any answers here. Let me know if there are any difficulties with listening to the files. I got them to work but will try again from this post to make sure. Many thanks. Edited February 24, 2005 by tooter Quote
Daniel A Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Track two sounds like "Sugar Plum". Quote
tooter Posted February 24, 2005 Author Report Posted February 24, 2005 Thank you Daniel. I haven't been able to compare it as I don't have a version of the tune. Can't seem to listen at All Music just now. Sure you must be right, if only because it didn't seem familiar. Quote
tooter Posted February 24, 2005 Author Report Posted February 24, 2005 Thanks, Couw, but I just got blank pages for some reason. Something weird going on. Quote
tooter Posted February 24, 2005 Author Report Posted February 24, 2005 Tune two is confirmed as Sugar Plum. Thanks again both Daniel and Couw. I will note at my site. Still hoping someone will know the other two. Both sound familiar to me. Quote
