AllenLowe Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 (edited) fo what it's worth, Sonny's version of There's No Business like Show Business (heard in 1968) made me HAVE to play the saxophone - until I heard that I was but a lonely oboist - Edited March 2, 2005 by AllenLowe Quote
JSngry Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 I used to feel sorry for the way that oboists had to hassle with reeds and shit. Used to.... Quote
GA Russell Posted March 10, 2005 Author Report Posted March 10, 2005 Want to hear something funny? I was working on my database tonight regarding the CDs I have heard in the past month. When I got to Sonny Rollins, I saw that the LP I have (which I got in '92, by the way, and maybe haven't seen since) isn't Worktime!!! It's another album called Moving Out. Well, the prinicple is the same, so for our discussion it won't matter. It looks like it would be less expensive to buy the box set than to buy something for Chuck's blood pressure! Quote
