BruceH Posted June 15, 2003 Report Posted June 15, 2003 I was actualy listening to BLUE SOUL when I thought of asking this question. How is THE BIG SIX?? Big Six is great. Real nice sound to it, good arrangements, good playing. I don't think I've ever heard a bad performance by Fuller. Any of his sideman dates are probably worth getting just for him (although admittedly he is one of my favorite trombonists). I personally think the Mosaic box is a must----don't worry, you can stop there. Quote
Late Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Any love for Fuller's Prestige work? (Guy mentioned New Trombone above.) I'm just about to pull the trigger on With Red Garland. Quote
Spontooneous Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 A quick plug for his sideman work on Blakey's "Ugetsu" on Riverside. And a second for the "Fire and Filigree" LP. Quote

Late Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 How did this thread get resurrected after 1 1/2 years? I asked about Fuller's Prestige work. (And I like trying to find pertinent "old" threads rather than creating a new one. B-) ) Quote
